Another view of the Heart of Texas golf hole #3 looking beyond to hole #1 and fairway. Trees are abundant on this course including sand and water. This is a finesse course it is very important to stay in fairway as rough is very thick and wiry. You will enjoy an interesting round so plan to visit for a day, a week or for a life time.
This logo is one I use for my web shop were I have items for sale using my photographs of the Mill Creek Golf Course featuring the Heart of Texas golf hole. You can check this out at http://cafepress.com/golfsalado.
One will find the Salado Creek meandering throughout the Golf Course. Watch out for this fast moving stream with rock bottom that is ready to grab your golf ball on many occasions.
Our main club house is a modest building but golf carts are a must on many of the fairways. We do have some walking golfers but Creek #3 you will definently need a cart. This photograph shows getting ready for a Scramble as many tournaments and other events are held here.
This is a typical tree on Mill Creek Course call the Live Oak, along with pecan trees, cottonwood, burr oak plus other varieties. The live oak is noted for this area of Texas.
Flower abound on the course, in spring you will find patches of wild Blue Bonnets, paint brush, daisies while in the summer crape myrtle bushes flourish in full bloom and many colors. Our community continues to grow with new homes being built along the golf course. Being a 27 hole course there are plans to add another 9 at some future date.
One can find me in my back yard taking a few swings to keep in shape plus picking up wayward golf balls that make it to my yard. The Hole #3 marker on the hole where I live is in Memory of my Husband who passed away in March 2003. He loved this course and we spent many winters here, I find it the ideal place to retire as I still enjoy the game of GOLF!
